Quote for Blog - 041116We have a tendency to think our life can be better without us getting better. All the situations in our life are, to some degree, connected to our character, our capacity to make good decisions and our emotional health. That’s why John said, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Your heart and soul must get better before your life gets better.

We don’t have to get better to please God or to earn His love; we get better because we want to be better people and enjoy a better quality of life and relationships. That’s why the first phase of our journey as a believer should be all about getting whole through the love of God, putting on a new identity and freeing ourselves from the past. In my series, Freedom from Emotional Debt, I will equip you to make this journey of a lifetime!

One of the healthy attitudes that should be present in all new believers is, “I need the mind of Christ. I need God’s wisdom and leadership in order to have the life I want. Therefore, I choose to follow Jesus as my Lord and my Shepherd as He restores my soul.” Join me this week in Impact CyberChurch as we make the journey into The Restoration of the Soul.
