It’s amazing what low value we have for living in peace. So much emphasis has been placed on taking your stand that it is impossible to have peace. After all, how can we have peace if we’re always taking our stand? Our current religious paradigm has no model of bringing about righteousness in an environment. The fruit of righteousness grows in peace, not strife (James 3:18).
When I consider that the Bible says if it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men, pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another (Romans 4:18-19). Then it goes on to tell me the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds… I’m convinced that our generation falls into that category of people who do not know the way of peace!
