When we humble ourselves to God and allow Him to be our Teacher, we can plant the seed of God’s Word in our heart and it will have room to grow.We could get very technical with all this concepts presents. But here’s what we really need to know. This verse in Jeremiah 4:3 is talking about preparing your heart just as you would prepare a garden to plant new seed. It all starts with removing the thorns. Thorns represent any belief, concept or opinion that contradicts God’s Word. We remove those by choosing to have a repentant, teachable heart!

When we humble ourselves to God and allow Him to be our Teacher, we can plant the seed of God’s Word in our heart and it will have room to grow. One of the Hebrew letters in the words “break up” represents a cup that must be emptied so it can be filled with God, His presence and His truth!

JOIN ME this week and we’ll start the process of preparing our hearts to hear and receive the seed God wants to plant in our heart!
