The Tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represented the two choices we all make in every decision: trust God and His Word or trust ourselves and our logic.People have debated this question since the beginning. Most of the explanations I’ve seen usually refute God’s character and nature. The majority of theologians I’ve read say that God was testing them. But, based on Scripture the only way God tests us is to make us promises and give us the opportunity to trust Him. That’s why the word “test” so often means “to bring forth the heart!”

Here’s what we do know: we were created in the likeness and image of God. We are free will individuals, just like God. In order to be able to experience all the aspects of our nature everything has to be our choice.

The Tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represented the two choices we all make in every decision: trust God and His Word or trust ourselves and our logic. God doesn’t punish us for trusting and choosing our logic over His, but we do have to live in the consequences.

JOIN ME this week and discover how in every decision you have the choice and the opportunity to eat from the Tree of Life and enjoy its fruit, or eat from the knowledge of good and evil and live in its fruit. The choice of life or death, blessings or curses is always ours!
