Jesus never promised or implied that we should or would be delivered from the civil consequences of our behavior before or after we get saved. But He does promise that when you enter into the reconciliation/exchange in every other dimension of life, you experience what He obtained through His sacrifice. That means you can stand before God with a clear conscience, knowing your sins have been forgiven, your conscience can be free from the burden of guilt. You can experience the love, acceptance and peace of God, even though you don’t actually deserve it.
Too often we assume that what happens in civil consequences is God’s judgment or His favor. That’s really not the case. What happens between you and God is where you experience favor and peace. JOIN ME this week and let’s explore together the wonderful life that is ours in Christ!
