when two people love, respect and trust one another they are always open to the other’s point of view.Submission is not obedience; it is the willingness to yield. When a wife is unyielding or not open to her husband it is often because the husband has not related to her the way Christ relates to the Church. He never demands submission, He inspires it by always walking in love. Interestingly, when talking about submission I never hear men quote this verse: “…submitting to one another in the fear of God,” (Ephesians 5:21). Based on this, men are supposed to be willing to submit just as much as women are. In other words, when two people love, respect and trust one another they are always open to the other’s point of view. They become a team where both share their strengths and insights, knowing they will be heard. But the moment either tries to force their view on the other, neither is being Christ-like and the other one will stop trusting and yielding.
