Jesus won an absolute, once-for-all-time, triumph over Satan and cast him out of Heaven. The final victory comes when man enters into harmony with that victory and casts him out of Planet Earth! The battle that is happening now is not as much a direct fight with the devil as it is a fight in our thoughts and beliefs.
If we don’t know his tactics we may ignorantly participate in our own destruction. We submit to the devil, not by choosing to surrender to him, but by aligning our thoughts and beliefs with his philosophies. We resist him, not by direct conflict with him, but by submitting to God and aligning our thoughts and beliefs with His Word.
Believers who don’t know God’s Word sometimes, out of ignorance, align themselves with that which opposes God’s Word. Even though it’s done by ignorance they are still yielding to the devil. It’s like drinking poison; you don’t have to know it’s poison for it to kill you!
