One of the most consistent doctrines of the entire Bible is personal faith. Faith is trust. If we trust what God has said and the conditions He sets forth for participation in His goodness, then our response is one of faith and not works. Everything about relating to God is based on a relationship of love and trust. He loves us and acts accordingly, but our only means of participating in what He does is because we trust Him.
God, in His proactive love, has purchased the salvation of every individual that will ever live. There will never be a time when someone comes to God for salvation and something else needs to be done. His work is finished!
God allows every man to make his or her own choices. We can choose life with God or without God. Because of His love, He will never violate our will or take away our freedom of choice! God paid the ultimate price for our salvation with no assurance of how we would respond.
The moment, however, any person calls on the name of the Lord, they need not wonder what His response will be. He will say, “the price has been paid.”
