One of the most dangerous things we can do is exalt our opinion or experience over the Word of God. It is a form of idolatry! 2 Corinthians 10 calls this a vain imagination, an argument, opinion, intellectual calculation or personal experience that exalts itself above the knowledge of God.
Someone said fear is an acronym for false experiences appearing real! Remember, with the measure you meet it is measured to you. When we believe something to be true we can experience it as true even though it is totally false.
Exalting our experience over the Word of God is a form of iniquity, i.e. twisting God’s Word to fit your preference or experience, which leads to eventually rejecting and replacing God’s Word with our own opinion. Iniquity is Satan’s number one tool.
Few believers ever realize what they are doing when they rely on personal experience over truth. JOIN ME this week and begin to put an end to negative, fearful experiences from which Jesus has already set you free!
