God wants us to be like Him. He tells us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us and pray for those who use us; so it stands to reason this is how He treats us. God has not called us to a higher standard than He upholds. No matter what your friends and loved ones have done, God is still responding in loving-kindness. After all, it is His goodness that leads to repentance. He hasn’t given up on them; you don’t give up on them!
