Huntsville Recognized Nationally for its Living and Working Conditions
June 10 - If you're looking for a city to live, work and play in, you won't have to go far, to the National Magazine "Employment Review." It ranks the Rocket City as one of the top five best places to live and work in America.
Job growth was just one criteria that Huntsville met to be recognized nationally.
"One thing you will see, especially in this top ten listing, you'll see cities with a diverse business base, opportunities for education, employment and recreation," said Jeff Thompson, Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
The magazine points to the city's recreational and cultural offerings, along with high-tech businesses, Redstone Arsenal and Huntsville's ties to space exploration, calling it a winning combination.
Huntsville's been recognized in four other National Magazines in recent months--Forbes, Family Digest, Southern Living and Expansion Management.
The articles list Huntsville as a top area for economic development and quality of life.
