Our conscience is the number one factor that determines whether or not we will hear His voice at all or how clearly we will hear it.One of the most beneficial realities we will ever discover is that I never see anything as it is, I see it according to my perception. The moment I accept this I can leave the realm of judgement. I can learn to observe instead of judge. When I give up the false idea that judgment is acceptable my conflict and stress level reduces dramatically.

Since our conscience affects our perception, logic and opinion we must keep our conscience clear in order to see things as they really are. Our conscience is the voice of our heart; therefore, it greatly affects our capacity to hear God clearly. A clear conscience can save your life. God is always trying to warn and lead us into absolute victory. Our conscience is the number one factor that determines whether or not we will hear His voice at all or how clearly we will hear it.

The part of our conscience over which we have control is our soul. We must renew our mind with God’s Word so our thoughts and opinions harmonize with God’s opinion. The truth is, we can’t trust our opinions unless they are based on God’s reality: His Word as interpreted by the life, teaching, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

There is no need to try harder to hear the voice of God. The first step is to remove the obstacles, the emotional clutter that rattles around in our mind. When we remove that which blocks or distorts God’s voice we suddenly and almost effortlessly hear His voice clearly.
